AWATERE RIVER MALBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC

The Awatere Valley is the lesser-known, smaller valley within New Zealand’s great Marlborough wine region. The climate here is cooler and longer than is typical of the broader region, affected by closer maritime proximity and cooler Southern temperatures.

Pale straw in colour. Aromas of stonefruit, lemon grass, gooseberry and hints of passionfruit typical of the Awatere Valley. Fresh herb, tropical fruit and gooseberry characteristics on the palate with good concentration. A pleasing mineral note leads to a long lingering finish.
